We wrapped up at the Alvord Desert and made our way east, heading to Leslie Gulch, which is fairly remote. A rattlesnake, some crazy flies, and some drone video later, we find a camp spot for the night before setting out on our way home the next day!

I dig the terrain and open vastness of the Owyhee Mountains. Every time we take the kids out there to explore we are the only ones out there, no joke. Of course I always have a fixed blade knife, gun, lots of water and topographic maps! The Canyonlands and Silver City Range in Idaho are unreal. Luckily we are very close to the Owyhees in Idaho.

Amen. Those Devil flies at the bottom of Leslie Gulch will fill your vehicle in five minutes if you leave the door open. Living hell camping down there. Tour Leslie Gulch but camp far above the lake. Typical desert situation camping near water.
