Okay, hear me out:
After Firestar joins the clans, Smudge scared of what could happen to him tries to follow him but gets stopped by Tigerclaw alone. Smudge tries to fight him but gets injured and instead of running home thinking he would get taken to the vet, he ran to the city and meets Brick and Bone and lives with them as a cat they raised him. Scourge makes the clans (I dont remember whos older, Firestar or Scourge lol) but he joins the fight and after seeing tigerstar die then his best friend, 'die' (Aka lose a life) he runs away for good and goes back to his two legs nest but get adopted by someone else

my dude firestar isn't justified here, I mean, he abandoned smudge for some random dudes who like to kill eachother and THEN when smudge wanted to join to be with him, Firestar's just like, "mmmm no, sorry bud."

Fun fact: Smudge was asked to join bloodclan, but he said no and managed to get the bloodclan cats to go away. But with barley, he was actually in bloodclan for a while and left, leaving and becoming a rouge.

(Edit- I know this isn’t true, this is a fun fact about one of the theories a person made)

I made an au on this back in 2020, I believe that he tried to look for firestar and got caught by animal control. A young cat said the cat looked tough so scourge broke him out. Scourge asked what his name was, (since Rusty had a name change, he thought he needed one too) so he said, “bone” then boom he became part of blood clan

Theory: after Rusty left smudge felt lonely and left, he ended up at the city (bigger twoleg place) he starts to feel at home but then he meets bloodclan, he tries to defend himself but then scourge steps in and so smudge may join! He accepts and joins BC. As soon as the big battle starts he sees firestar, knowing that's rusty he stands still in shock before getting attacked from behind by another cat and so later firestar finds smudge dead.
