Sergio Leone’s final and perhaps greatest film, a New York gangster saga housed within an intricate construction that shuttles through time, with Robert De Niro, James Woods leading a remarkable cast. This restoration, including material previously unseen in the U.S., preserves the director’s original structure.

Never mind how many times I watch this movie it will forever be my favorite and it will always make me emotional. BEST MOVIE EVER. I am 23 and I can say my generation doesn't have anything compare to those actors and film creations.

My UCLA professor asked our class name your top 3 films ever. When I mentioned this film, he just started whistling the soundtrack. I highly recommend taking a class in 3rd world film. We watched films that were polar opposites of this but I had to recognize greatness.

I hope that within my lifetime I am able to see the film the way that Sergio Leone intended. Even the "extended" version is extremely cut down. They had over 18 hours of film and the story was meant to be told through two films that were 6 hours long. Imagine how much of this masterpiece we are missing. You can find some of the scenes online but most of it never made it to the internet. I truly hope before I die I am able to see it.

Better than Godfather and Godfather Part II for me.

I think the only country in 1980's where the whole movie was shown was the USSR where they divided it in two parts with all off the scenes but put it in chronological order.
