Yamaha PSS-580 Demo (PSS580, 480, FM, Nostalgia, Resources).

This is the demo-song of the PSS580 (and also its the one for the PSS-480). They are essentially the same synth. Just the differences are:
1) cosmetic look, and 2) the 480 is 12-note polyphonic and the 580 is 16-note. This was my first synth (since 1989) and the one that sparked my interest in "what is MIDI?" and "Synthesiz....er, whats that?"
I then raided my local library reading books and renting tapes/cds to explore! Two years later I was a fullblownhardcoresynthgeek :D
This synth has now gone to a new owner here in Sweden.
There are to be had great cheesy sounds but also weird glitchy SFX and classic FM sounds. I think I read the chip was also used in some of the DX range (..maybe DX21/100). Its fully editable via SysEx.
