I really love this as an application within more traditional architectural design forms as well. With this type of manufacturing you could easily create large internal curved vaults or domes with complex forms as an installable product to a more traditional build. Prefabbing something lightweight that could be added in during the framing process and finished along with the rest of the home. It would be easier to introduce to a larger market as well as a product accessory potentially instead of having some adopt an entirely new building method.

This is what I want to see in a 3d-printed house! Not the ones with layers of concrete very visible and ugly.

The video doesn't show much of the house, just a little of the outside. Also, the foam used looks like it's EXTREMELY flammable. This would be like living inside a matchbox. In a fire the entire house would ignite in seconds.

This tech will replace airfill inflated domes as it will have greater structural strenght.

Only when any home can remain intact during cyclone 🌀 we can call it as modern design.
Please work on it.

I am a huge advocate for 3D printing, but unfortunately I cannot advocate for this piece. It looks flashy, but it also looks as if it were designed by a team of people who have never designed a house before. It especially does not take into consideration the comprehensive and cohesive abilities of 3D printing (IE to become the kitchen island, the furniture, the shelving). Also, with the competition being held in 2016, an 8 plus year time frame for completion is not a good benchmark for this componentized process. Think simpler. Think holistically.

Pointlessly overcomplicated way to build.

Babbling buzzwords. If this isn't used for lowering the cost of housing, it defeats its purpose.
