I work at an amc movie theather and we dont reuse popcorn we throw popcorn out at the end of the night, eveynight. We make batches of popcorn throughout the day for the guests.

I'm 12 right now and I still remember this one time when I was like 9 or 10, my dad brought me to a 17+ movie and didn't know.
(I was the only kid there 😂) The movie was called Let's Be Cops or something. (Btw, my mom yelled at my dad for long 😂 )

As a former manager at amc I can tell you 1- the popcorn is always fresh at all theatres if you see it in yellow bags it was transported fresh from another theatre do to the popper being down or being cleaned. 2- the combo meals are cheaper and if you pay the 10-15$ a year to be a card member everything's is even cheaper. 3- amc and the theatres they own don't use popcorn perfume at least not in the buildings I worked at. 4- the elderly steal anything not bolted down in the theatres and 1 in 5 try to get free tickets by complaining and making up stories. I heard one come into amc complaining she wanted free tickets because we didnt except her regal purchased gift cards. 5- at least once a month someone will shit on the floor in one of the auditoriums this is In NY. 6- the food stock in the back is rotated daily and deliveries come once a week the theatres go through a ton of food each week. 7-when you take the servers and bash the building for its cleanliness remember people get in trouble and it's impossible to keep the place clean throughout the day. If you want to see the extent the staff go into cleaning the theatres come for the first showing but until then stop bashing them in the serveys these kids make minimum wage and get treated terribly. 8 - theatres hire a lot of handicapped and elderly too.

I used to work at cineplex and we always give our popcorn to the homeless people outside every night. It was always fresh there.

I had work experience in England at Scott Cinemas, and I want to state that we never used Popcorn perfume in the rooms, and at Scott cinema if we weren't 100% certain it was him we kick them out. We also don't use bags of popcorn, we use freshly made popcorn. So stop with some of the false facts dude.

The popcorn thing is nasty, especially considering how cheap it is them, not us. I don't buy any concessions, I sneak it in. Can't inspect our bag/purse. I'm also that person that only goes during matinee hours.

As a pervious movie theater employee I can verify most of these are true. But at cinemark they throw out all popcorn at the end of the day and make it fresh at 8am every day (I used to do this on weekends) but the stands over by the theaters are more likely to have stale popcorn due to the infrequency of customers. And the combo deals there last time I worked there was only 25 to 50 cents cheaper than buying them on their own.
