This is a very interesting and unusual anti-aircraft vehicle, and Trumpeter seem to have stepped up a gear with the engineering on this kit.

Nice Job Jim ! what a Beast of a kit ! Slick design for the rockets !! will have to ... make room for such a large model in my closet at some point ! Thanks for the Review !

A tempting proposition! Very tempting. Have you noticed that trumpeter prices seem to have taken a big hike recently. Almost to the point that they are prohibitively expensive sometimes. Odd really given the proliferation of completion in the form of takom and meng. You would think this would make them more competitive not less.

I finished my kit about a week ago. It was a good build, but you can only build it in the travel mode unless you scratch build some tubing. The tracks are workable. The decals for the missile were odd in that instead of making a decal that could wrap around the booster rockets, they came in two pieces, which made it a pain in the rump to put on. I just picked up the sa-10. $134. Definitely not getting cheaper.

Missiles are gorgeous and hull fist perfectly, but all the round and square holes for the tiny add on parts were to small for the pins to fit, a real bitch to build, worse time I ever had with a Trumpeter kit. Don't buy it, you have been warned.

Ganef is not real name, it's NATO's nickname of this antiaircraft system, the right name is KRUG, in English "THE CIRCLE"
