My daughter is 8 years old and had surgery this week to correct her scoliosis. She had a 99 degree curvature and they were able to correct it to down the low 40's. She should be close to finished growing because she was on estrogen to strengthen her bones, which also had the effect of pushing her through puberty and minimizing her growth spurt. She's still in the hospital recovering from surgery. So thankful for our children's hospital and all her great doctors!
