How I Replay Castlevania: SotN

Hilarious how I somehow managed to never play SotN until last year. Absolutely loved it and played multiple times over dedicating dozens of hours (being a huge Super Metroid fan this was like slipping into an old pair of comfy boots)

I have been apprehensive trying to tackle SotN on Saturn because I have had a terrible track record with Emulators. Seeing more and more about it now I owe it to myself to try it for sure and see it for myself.

Those old teams for games, anime, manga of fans that used to help bring and fix stuff out of Japan are sorely missed. Watching all those fan projects over the years was nice

This is truly the definitive version of this game, just phenomenal on the Saturn.

How I'm playing SotN:
About a half inch of my original PS1 disc broke off when the console fell 😭
But it's playable! Many areas of the castle now look glitchy and psychedelic. One of a kind experience! 😂

There's also the option of the ever expanding randomizer for this game, which adds nearly infinite replay value.

I beat the SOTN ultimate edition on my Saturn console I’ve got hooked up to my tv w the retortink 4k. Only managed to complete 209% of the map

I actually got this rom to work with Yabasanshiro 2 1.16.7 latest. As well as ReShade version of CRT Royale filter and its drop dead gorgeous

If I remember you could play SOTN with the Dracula X Chronicles port to the PSP which added the ability to play as Maria... I dont think it added many of the other things from the Saturn port... but I know that was one of the BIG things it did add
