Evaluation of 4G and 5G Networks for IoT: Performance andScalability in Urban Areas
Показать описание
This study evaluates the performance and scalability of 4G and 5G
networks for Internet of Things (IoT) applications in urban areas. By simulating traffic using the NS3 tool, we analyze IoT devices on 4G and 5G networks,
comparing their ability to handle varying traffic loads, including metrics such
as latency, throughput and jitter. The aim is to analyze the ability of these networks to support IoT devices in environments where high device density and
real-time data transmission are crucial. The findings highlight the strengths of
5G in providing better scalability and performance, while demonstrating the
limitations of 4G under heavier loads. This research contributes to understanding the practical implications of using 5G over 4G for future IoT deployments
in smart cities.
