Nintendo: "You posted a video about Switch homebrew!? DMCA! TAKEDOWN! *LEGAL ACTION!!!* "
LRG: "You posted a video about Switch homebrew!? You're hired!"

That's so damn cool, man. It's gotta be surreal seeing a product you were that involved with coming to light and going on sale.
May it be the first of many!

My son has these on his switch, he likes them a lot. I didnt know they were old, I thought it was just some retro style indie game.

"We spent many hours tightening up the input delay": I wish I heard this from everyone else who ported a retro game to a modern console. It's practically the last concern, if it is at all.

My favorite part about all this is that Nintendo basically went from censoring your work to advertising it to hundreds of thousands of people on Twitter.
Congratulations man.

Yo, I didn't know you developed this! This is really cool, being hired by an official developer. Congrats!

I love this level of transparency from an influencer who now is also a developer. He is talking about something that he passionately worked on and sharing it with us. I would love to see other developers given this sort of voice after their games ship, as it allows us the audience to connect with the game in a more personal way. Wasn’t going to pick it up, but will now.

Imagine his next video be “ how the switch׳s security was defeated by a shantae”

“It can be quite frustrating to lose that progress.”

*Metroid NES flashbacks. No convenient ways to regain health like bathhouses, no extra life minimum that gets restored after a game over making the journey less frustrating.* I’m glad save states are there for people who want to get on with things, but I honestly think the original game is very forgiving compared to most early Metroidvanias.

Thanks so much for sharing the journey, and major congrats on signing the deal and delivering. Hope this is just the beginning.

Wait a second. What do you mean by "testing the game"? I thought the customers did that after paying full price and maybe, just maybe, the developer will fix the game a couple of months later.

Next video: "Here's how I cracked Shantae using an old shoe and a toothpick"

We need more videos such as this of developers personally showing us their work in a manner like this. Excellent work on the port job my dude.

Nice work man. As a fellow software engineer, I can appreciate the gravity and difficulty of this kind of work, and so it's super cool to see it live and breathe in the hands of regular people who love it. Again, nice work!
