The adoption of the FHIR standard continues to grow and with it the secondary applications of FHIR stores. FHIR development is often accelerated through testing with real data. However, patient data is often restricted for security and privacy concerns, and development of synthetic data which captures real-world practice variation is still an area of active research. There is a need for realistic and broadly accessible clinical data in FHIR. We present a demo of the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care (MIMIC)-IV, converted into FHIR. MIMIC-IV-on-FHIR provides real-world data from a data dense environment (critical care). MIMIC-IV-on-FHIR is built using a workflow utilizing PostgreSQL, Python, and HAPI FHIR. This session walks through the creation of MIMIC-IV-on-FHIR and showcase the publicly available FHIR resources now available for development and research. .
