"Dance Moms" follows Abby Lee Miller and the nation's favorite tween dancers as they take on Hollywood while new auditions, new competitions, and new studios raise the stakes.

The road has not been easy for “Dance Mom’s” star Abby Lee Miller. After completing her prison sentence last year, the famed dance instructor was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. But if anything, Abby has proven she is a fighter and is not ready to hang up the dance shoes. The new season of Dance Moms follows Abby as she rebuilds her dance company while battling the after-effects of cancer that has left her confined to a wheelchair. Abby is ready to get back to her life and do what she loves most…teaching students to dance! With the goal of putting her life, health and dance studio back together, Abby returns to where it all began – the Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh.

Seeing Maddie panic over ice skating bc she’s afraid of what Abby will say rlly makes u realize how Abby mentally and emotionally damaged these girls. This reminds me of that season 4 clip where Abby tells Kenzie she can’t go out for recess anymore, they are children and have every right to have fun without worrying about what Abby will say and do.

I honestly 100% believe that the producers told abby that the girls went ice skating just to create drama.

I feel really bad for all the girls, but Maddie with the ice skating scene makes me so sad. She was so scared to do something fun because of Abby and honestly all of them had their childhoods robbed because of the show/Abby.

Maddie can never win in these situations, she always has to pick between her mom and Abby. Melissa forced her to skate even though she didn’t want to, so Abby had no right to say ‘you had a choice.’ She DIDN’T. Same thing with Abby guilting her for not leaving the car during the moms protest and Abby making Maddie feel like it was her fault when it wasn’t. Their relationship was so toxic and nobody ever talks about it.
