Brazilian Wax Etiquette
Показать описание
If you’re watching this, it’s probably because you’re trying to get ready for your first brazilian or bikini wax. I completely understand that you’re already nervous, so I’m going to help you get fully prepared with everything you need to know and the basic brazilian wax etiquette guide lines so your wax goes as smoothly as possible.
First, what is a brazilian wax? A brazilian wax is when all of the hair is removed from your bikini area, front and the butt strip in the back. Of course you can opt to leave a landing strip, triangle, etc, but in general all of the hair is removed.
I know it’s easier said than done, but know that we have seen thousands upon thousands of vaginas, so there is no need to feel embarrassed or shy. We aren’t judging you. We do this everyday and for us, it’s just another vagina that we’re going to remove hair from.
There’s a couple of things you should know before getting waxed:
If at all possible, clean up before coming in for a brazilian. It’s best to shower before your appointment to ensure there’s no sweat, dirt, oils, etc before getting waxed. We’re going to be removing hair from the root which means that the follicle will be open and exposed after getting waxed. The last thing you want is to expose that follicle to any kind of bacteria or infection.
Don’t come in for a wax right after going to the gym. Again this has to do with cleanliness, but body oil, sweat and lotions will create a barrier between the wax and your skin which is not good when getting waxed. It will cause the wax to not adhere to the hair properly so it’s going to make your wax more painful.
Use the restroom before your wax appointment. This sounds silly, but when you’re getting waxed, it’s easy to tense up when the waxer is removing the wax strips. Thus it makes it feel like you have pressure on your bladder, making you feel like you need to go to the bathroom. Nothing is more disruptive during an appointment to have the waxer stop what they’re doing, you put your clothes back on so you can run to the bathroom in the middle of your appointment. So go before! Even if you don’t feel like you have to.
Skip drinking before your wax appointment. I totally understand being nervous and wanting to take the edge off. However, alcohol can tighten your pores which will cause the hair to be more difficult to remove, which makes it more painful.
