Y’all that was a HUGE switch up between the 80s and 90s! All the dresses from the last 100 years are all so different and they are all beautiful!

My prom dress was a thrifted prom dress my friend found one day while we were antiquing/thrifting. He looked at the rack, picked it up, asked me to try it on, and said he just had a gut feeling I would look good in it. It fit like it was made for me and the look on his face when I stepped out of the dressing room was priceless. We had a moment of awestruck giddiness before we realized that we couldn't buy it in that moment because we weren't done with our adventures for the day and walking around town with a prom dress would be problematic. I was sad to leave it behind because I knew someone else might buy it before I could go back later that day with my mom...but in the end it was still there and my dress and shoes combined were under $20! So if you're struggling to find a reasonably priced dress in a normal retail store, try the second hand stores. You never know if the perfect dress will magically appear!
