That was what Nano was to me all those years ago... Exactly what she was. A faceless voice to push through the unbearable pain and desperately cling to life… It's been over a decade now and even now... All I'm simply doing is hanging on... I can't, nor will I ever break free... However, even though she kept me alive for over a decade later at this point. That's simply all I've been doing. Surviving. Existing. I'm no longer that kid who would sit alone in the dark in my room as I endure the endless throbbing pain as I listen to Nano's voice that instilled the only vestige of hope into hopelessness. I'm now an adult...

I listened to Magenta so many times, it became my favorite color… I would listen to magenta on loop cause every time I wanted to give up, I’d hear her words to remember again… “Don’t you let go.”

The release of this song and that quote in the description makes me wonder. Even if she is the literal reason I am still alive, does it even matter? Even over a decade later, I still can’t find the answers that child was seeking and the adult in me knows I never will.

NANO-san, I'm really happy to hear this cover of yours--as this song is something that also helped me as a teenager, dreaming of a better life than the one I was given. I've been listening to your music since I was a teen (I'm in my mid-twenties now), having randomly encountered your covers that were posted on YouTube, and then SAVIOR OF SONG on the advertisement for the anime it was featured in years ago. Your music and covers gave me words to express difficult feelings I was having, so to hear this song from you and that it was an inspiration to you as much as it was me makes me feel... something. Reverence? Perhaps connection. I'm not sure.
