Like many 20-somethings her age, Sophie (Lana Condor) is faced with a world of choices. Sure, there’s the future stuff, the family stuff, the job stuff. But, where she is truly confused is on the big choice, the momentous one, the top-of-list one that stands out—what to do about him!

Her long-term b.f. Calvin (Mason Gooding) has moved with his family and taken a job out of town. As in way out of town. A published scientist, Calvin’s posting was supposed to be temporary and now, that “temporary” is beginning to read more like “permanent.”

Then there’s Walt (Cole Sprouse), who’s also confronted with choices, but mmmmmaybe not so many. He’s pretty content with his going nowhere assistant barista job in a college bookshop and his solitary existence. That is, until he meets Ginny (Emily Rudd), and the closing-time-to-sunrise hours he spends with her convinces him that she’s the one. The time just flies. But sadly, at dawn, so does Ginny, off to where her new life is waiting.

A romantic comedy with a twist, “Moonshot” follows Walt and Sophie as they join forces in order to be reunited with their significant others, embarking upon a lively journey that winds up taking them both wildly and unexpectedly off course.

The film stars Cole Sprouse (“Riverdale,” “Five Feet Apart”), Lana Condor (“To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” trilogy, “Alita: Battle Angel”), Mason Gooding (“Scream” “Love, Victor”), Emily Rudd (“Fear Street” trilogy, “Hunters”) and Zach Braff (“Cheaper by the Dozen,” “Garden State”).
Christopher Winterbauer (“Wyrm”) directed from Max Taxe’s screenplay (his feature film screenwriting debut). Greg Berlanti (“Love, Simon,” “Free Guy”), Sarah Schechter (“Riverdale,” “Batwoman”), Jill McElroy (“Mary + Jane”) and Jenna Sarkin (“The Tribes of Palos Verdes”) produced, with Michael Riley McGrath, Richard Brener, Nikki Ramey, Paulina Sussman, Dana Fox and Michelle Morrissey serving as executive producers.

Joining Winterbauer behind the camera are director of photography Brendan Uegama (“Child’s Play,” “Truth Be Told”), production designer Eddie Matazzoni (“Stargirl,” “Lorelei”), editor Harry Jierjian (“Love, Simon,” “Doom Patrol”), composer David Boman (“Wyrm,” “It’s What

New Line Cinema and HBO Max present a Berlanti Schechter Films/Entertainment 360 production, “Moonshot.” The film will stream exclusively on HBO Max beginning March 31, 2022, and will be available in 4K UHD, HDR10, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos on supported devices. “Moonshot” is rated PG-13 for some strong language and suggestive material.

Moonshot? A movie about Mars is called "Moonshot" and the trailer says "when you find that thing that you're willing to cross the entire universe to be with" while playing a song about the universe? But the movie just tells a story about interplanetary travel, not interstellar. So i don't know about crossing the universe, not even the galaxy, just a planet.

Movies... If we didn't have movies like this, all the generations alive now... Putting in the hard work to make travel to, and living life on The Moon, Mars, and beyond; would never get to experience what our future generations will! Even if it's just really good, believable CGI, and actors. We get to see and feel the visuals, and emotions they all will call... reality! Just as we get to call this world of technology reality. Thanks to the hard work our ancestors gave for the possibilities they dreamed into existence. Dreaming got us here. Never stop!
