"Watch in 4k for best quality"

This is my personal review of the Bausch And Lomb Cinemascope Anamorphic Projector lens. I have been wanting to make this review for a while because i just love the glass inside these lenses so clean and clear its insane how cheap they are for the quality you get. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Where did you find or did you have ro make it yourself, the lens holder ring with the adjustable height? I am going to need one of those.

Did you make that circle clamp at 4:52 or did you buy it? I like that idea. I have the black version you have sitting there.

So, I am looking at 6:09 and it is unclear if you have a screw connection to your taking lens or not. It doesn't look like it. Plus if you did how would you be able to align the anamorphic lens after screwing it into the taking lens? I think a lot of us would like to know the answer to that. In some shots the lenses don't seem aligned. So, do you just push the B&L into the face of a filter adapter on the camera, or do you screw it in.

Where did you get that round support that holds the lens up? I might want to get one.

I appreciate this. I been trying to find any information about this lens for months . 🙏

Shawn, my question to you is, How is the B&L lens attached to the taking lens? I see the filter adaper ring, but is it screwed onto the taking lens AND the B&L lens too? If so, how can you adjust the anamorphic lens so that nothing is slanted? Because, if everything is screwed tight, then you cannot make that adjustment. I hope you see this and clear this up for us.

Great video! What did you use to attach it to the taking lens? Thanks!

What mm were the diopters you were using? Also do you know the mm for the diameter for the lens tripod ring?

I don't see any recent responses from Shawn here.

Hello Shawn, can these cinemascope lens be used to attach to the front of a long throw laser projector lense to de-squeeze an anamorphic video image. No one seems to talk about how to display the anamorphic images.

The question is, did you just sell your black lens? Because I just bought one for $69. :-)
I think I am over 35mm lenses now.

Thank you thank you :D I can’t believe I’ve the same one and I was wondering more about this lens please :)

I wonder if it will work with my Super 8 cameras?

And for the lens, do you have to set the lens up vertically; why not horizontally? Would that distort the image?

I love filming on Super 8, so I’m learning and following my interest to Super 8 filming as much I can :)

This is an awesome video; even the footage has the John Carpenter look to it :D Super Groovie

Thank you once more :)

hello Shawn, after seeing your video I bought a lens like the ones you show and I have a question, why does the bokeh look oval horizontally and not vertically? the lens flare looks perfectly horizontal, but the bokeh looks horizontal too when put in the correct format inside premiere, the video image will look perfect in all its proportions, only the bokeh problem, I think I bought a weird lens because Only with my taking lens I can focus from 30 centimeters to infinity without needing anything, I repeat, but the bokeh is stretched horizontally, my taking lens is 50mm f095, thanks for your videos

What are you measuring here anyway?
You8 have one blade on the inside and the other on the outside.
I have the same lens and it measures around 70mm, ON THE OUTSIDE.
I mean, that is where you have to mount an adapter.

Hey Shawn, were the tests done with the black B&L?
