The MIN function allows you to find the minimum value in a range of cells. As an example, here is a data set of numbers. I am going to put the minimum value in cell D3, so I left click on cell D3. Next type in an equals sign, then type in the letters mi. Now, in the drop down box, left double click on the word min.

From here we need to put in the range of cells, to do this left click, and hold on the first cell, cell A3, and then drag down to the last cell, cell C22, and then release the click and hold. Next type in a closed parenthesis, and to finish, hit the enter key, and we have our answer of 2.
