There's actually a revival movement of Javanese script it's used as a second-script in most famous places in Yogyakarta, Central and East Java but yeah the use of it still limited since it's hard to write and it's not been taught in school widely

The revival movement also happened within Sundanese community in Bogor and Bandung city where moden-Sundanese script were used in tourism area

Javanese script aren't died. We still learn them in school. I'm a Gen Z Javanese and I still able to read and write them.
