I have a changer like this but the MC300 model, so this video was helpful. There was a roaring noise the first three minutes that made it hard to listen to. Big truck idliing? Shop vac?

aside from my gripe about the Remote.. this CD player is a good idea overall and sounds great - I don't know why but I've never like the 'carousel' players I'm a vinyl person mostly in terms of what I collect - so maybe this player reminds me of a Jukebox. But ..again sounds great has that 1 bit Technics stage.

the one annoying thing is there is every button on the front except for REPEAT - there's random but if you want to shuffle repeat all your discs .. you can't without the damn remote ! I'm not sure why these companies always leave out some important and FUN feature on the unit itself - I've seen this on VCR's a lot . I go to look in the user manual online.. 'repeat' is only found on the REMOTE 😅

@1:00 you should have hit the 'single disc' button as there's one disc in that carriage to first test that function - outside of the 'multi-disc' function - but yes that guide wire - is the jankiest part of this design - I've seen it fold in on itself wrong in normal use - and the wire didn't appear to do it's job when I had it loaded with discs I simply moved the unit across the room and many discs fell into the unit ! Good video demonstration sir thanks for sharing.

I replaced my belt but now it goes the opposite side and is stuck in those white locking mechanisms. Not clue why.

I have a Panasonic 60+1 stereo and it just dont move the reader. First, the gear belt is gone, it just melted. Second, the drive dont push the CD, even it's perfectly alinged with the drive. Did you noticed that an IR diode is on top of the drive? How can I test my drive before changing the drive belt? Do you think there's anyone whom sell this kind of belt?

Hi!! Do you have a website or email? I have a Panasonic 60 disc changer and my city doesn't repair home stereo systems. A town over has electronic store and shut me down stating that the manufacturer doesn't make parts for my unit. Anyway, I'd like to chat with someone that might he able to provide some general guidance so that I may resolve malfunction on my own or decide this unit is simply a lost cause. Thank you!

never posted it but that cable is a defect in the unit. when it loosens it jams up the gears. i had to remove a gear and fix the teeth by hand. works great now. i added it to my system :0

My engineer nephew looked at out 40-disk changer. The drive band at top left rear was loose and a rubber band worked to replace it. The wire cable goes over 4 pulleys and slips onto a small dog with a tiny spring on it--and its function is to keep you from opening it when running. Also it moves down out of the way when a disc is changing. We have photos. oiltranslator.com

I have changed my belt with an o ring and the mechanism moves and says checking discs. The mechanism only moves a few inches and then goes back to the start point. It will not recognize any disc. Can you help?

The thin giuding wire hooks over a black latch at the end of where it locks, the spring hooks on a white leaver, and the is a spring at the top of the leaver, and at the bottom, of that leaver hooks on the spring, and around the player are four wheel groves oround the front of it, and you put the thin guiding wire around in to those wheel groves, and hooks around over and under a blck hook, that's what guides it straight to playing the disks.
