UVSA Media bringing y'all the first VCN of the season!

The University of Southern California’s Vietnamese Student Association proudly presents our 42nd Annual Vietnamese Culture Night: After That!

Their Story:
This year’s drama focuses on the story of Vivian, a college senior curious about the world around her, who wants to go to Vietnam to explore her culture. Yet, her mom, suffering from the trauma of the Vietnam War, refuses to go back to her motherland. Trapped between her family’s desires and her own wishes, Vivian is forced to stay in America--that is, until Vivian is offered a spot on a trip to Vietnam that she simply cannot resist. With her only daughter halfway around the world, Vivian’s mom is left with no choice but to give chase; however, her search is soon interrupted by an old friend and a history buried under 45 years of trauma. Peppered with song and dance numbers, VSA’s 42nd annual VCN show explores the different generation’s perspective on a timeless culture.
