FKM with nanotubes: high elasticity and conductivity

Highly elastic and conductive FKM rubber is an ideal choice for producing seals, hoses, and sensors operating in explosive areas. However, this was difficult to achieve with carbon black additives, as gaining conductivity would lead to trade-offs in elasticity. Using graphene nanotubes instead, a European company, Zrunek, has developed an anti-static FKM compound with retained hardness, mechanical properties, and elastic behavior, available for extrusion grades.
