AHH I know you openly talk about not wanting to be perceived, but I think having an old stream play is kind of like a fair deal? It feels comfy and great for people who want something visual yet doesnt require you to do extra recording of yourself. Anyway going to listen now, thank you for your time jodi!!

as someone who is an absolute workaholic, i spend 40+ hours a week at my job it is very refreshing to hear another point of view as soon i will be heading to college and have to find a way to balance relaxation and productivity. I appreciate you a lot, I haven't been a fan very long but you have an extremely thoughtful and open minded perspective. i think i need to start getting some of those affirmations because its been getting rough. my question is when you do get burned out for long periods of time, what is the spark that brings it back, or rather what do you find that makes it enjoyable again? cheers for yapping

These are always so nice, feels like there's something that everyone should be able to relate to or think about in every one of these. The start of the podcast where you were talking about having rest and push phases really made sense to me. We live in a society that makes you feel bad for not pushing all of the time and it really shouldn't be that way, we aren't machines and everyone should be allowed to actually take the time to enjoy their lives instead of grinding all the time. I admit I struggle with this still, feeling guilty when I'm not progressing in some way even when my mind and body are telling me that I need a break. Thank you for putting it to words and telling people that it's okay to have a period of rest, I'm sure I'm not the only person that needed to hear that.

I like what was mentioned about stepping back from the idea that we "should" do things to maximize our lives. Personally I've found the "carpe mentality to be more suffocating than beneficial for me. Like that's so much pressure to put on someone. We'll all end up with unfulfilled desires one way or another, and that's ok. We can't do everything at the end of the day. We can still let ourselves explore new experiences, but without that added pressure of, "What would my deathbed self think?" which can turn something enjoyable into a responsibility. Of course thinking about your older self can be a wake-up call sometimes to not grind so hard and enjoy your life too!

Hi Jodi I just wanted to say that I love watching you and hearing your perspectives on matters that I also struggle with. Listening to you always brings comfort to me and makes me feel like I’m not alone with these struggles. Whenever I had a bad day I would always just watch your videos and become inspired. I hope that we can learn to overcome these inner challenges. I also wanted to ask if you also have struggled with expressing yourself because you want to fit in with everyone else around you or you feel like you’ll never fit in because you can’t express yourself?? Or you feel like you can't express you keep comparing yourself to others weither it be people you know or celebrities.

I know I'm just a random stranger but I'm seriously rooting for you.

I think where your head is at is important for your progress but I understand how it feels to be comfortably hard on yourself.
