Thank you Bill and everyone else at MWW for these videos. I love watching you guys kill big bucks but even more I like learning how to become a better woodsman. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Very informative. My son and I hunt along a river, and there are creek fingers also running through the property. I have personally found that these creek fingers are deer magnets, if you can control your scent. Thanks for the information. I now have another tool in my toolbox.

I’m going to scout a free bends in a slough that feeds out of a river. The best bends are close to some private land where they’ve been growing crops. Based on what I’ve learned so far I’m thinking that would be a good place to find trails and bedding. What do you think?

How the heck does this only have 5k views? Great info for a new hunter like me that is trying to scout some public land here in heavily pressured WI.

Thanks for posting such an informative video. I actually learned some new things when it comes to hunting creeks. One thing though, what kind of insight could you give on hunting small (1-2 acres) islands on a creek? I'm having to turn to public land here in Indiana and checked the spot out in person after scouting with Google Earth. Am I wrong for thinking that an island with thick undergrowth would be a good secluded spot away from other hunters? Any insight and information would be greatly appreciated.

Mr. Winke on average would you say the water level is lower in the fall during rut? Should I pack hip waders when hunting the Iowa rut?
