What i love about argus story is that he's not some darth vader kind of villain, he already hated humans to begin with but the moment he knew he was half a human and the monastery of light hates him for it he just really hates everyone at this point, like he's the embodiment of wrath

Let's end this debate. First of all, I am not picking any favourites here. I will justly scale Both Martis & Argus according to their lore. Thank you for your patience and Attention, if you read this completely.

Argus : The Fallen Angel of Land of Dawn. Once tasked to punish & exterminate evil. Argus shared the bloodline of Lord of light but he was not a pure - blood like his sister, Rafaela.Thus, facing hatred of the priests in the Monstary. Argus in lore has shown physical prowess in battlefield as he held his own against abyssal demons & killed a large number of them alone. When he took the Demonic Sword, his mind became corrupted by evil & he slowly succumbed to darkness. Argus fully surrendered himself to the demonic blade, losing his angelic holy powers, but he also gained some Cursed power in return. Which is Eternal Evil, symbolizing his downfall as an Angel & rise as fallen Angel . This power grants him immunity to death & makes him un - killable. But he Can't maintain these form forever as he his fallen angel wings will disappear at some point . As shown in his hero intro - action.

Martis : King of the Shura clan, an ancient civilization of gods in the Arcapada universe . A land that is almost entirely separate from Land of dawn . Martis is the only conqueror of the legendary 3000 world, thus renowned as the "Ashura King". The 3000 worlds are a trial for the warriors of the Shura Clan . Conquering these worlds are not an easy task, as one must face against legions of psychic demons in these worlds . These demons test a warrior both physically & mentally, granting them special powers for each world conquered . But the farther one goes by conquering these worlds the stronger the psychic demons become . Martis conquered world upon world tirelessly for time unknown until he entered the final secret world . In this world, the psychic demon resembled martis himself & the more he desired victory, the stronger the demon became . After facing numerous defeats Martis fell into despair but refused to give up . By infusing all the dark powers of the underworld he has conquered so far, combined with his sheer thirst for victory & battle, Martis forged the Ashura' Teeth . Using this legendary weapon that he himself made, Martis fought in the final world, the battle shook the very heavens but Martis emerged victorious this time . Martis also has fought against, Gatotkaca, another Godly being who rivals him in power .In fact, when they fought, their clash of power created a space-time rift in the Land of dawn .

Conclusion: Although, Argus is a strong & formidable warrior . He is nowhere near Martis in terms of power & feats . Also, Argus cannot maintain Eternal Evil forever (Wings Disappear), it will run-out at some point leaving him vulnerable to Martis's destructive attacks . And let's note that a heroes creation camp ability does not count here . We are taking a hero's original skill set into count. Lorewise, Argus has not defeated Thamuz or Alice . Where Martis has defeated demons far greater than them. Argus's mind was corrupted by the demonic sword, where Martis kept fighting for time unknown to man, even after falling into despair after numerous defeats he still managed to achieve victory . Which shows Martis's mental fortitude is greater than Argus . And lastly, he fought Gatotkaca and caused a space - time rift, which endangers the very fountadions of reality . Martis is older than Argus, thus he has more experience & prowess in combat. Therefore, Martis will win against Argus with easy - medium difficulty.
