For some people who have not yet managed to receive the badge, it may be for a simple reason, which is as follows: You or at least one person on the team that owns the app needs to have "Use data to improve Discord" enabled in User Settings > Privacy & Security. At least 24 hours must pass after we detect a command, wait at least 24 hours after enabling this setting before trying again.

Just a friendly notice that your bot MUST BE ACTIVE or you will lose your badge. I had my active developer badge for a few months then got an email from Discord stating that I lost it due to inactivity from my bot. I recommend running a few commands every week or so to ensure that you keep the badge.
