It's Fall At The Off-Grid Cabin!

Welcome back to the channel! We are back up at the cabin again getting another load of wood to bring home. Today was a wet and rainy fall day but we still managed to get all of our wood split for the next syrup season and split another bush cord of hardwood to heat our house this winter.

We started the morning with a drive to pick up 72 pounds of pork from the same farm where we get our beef and we also lit the first fire of the season at the cabin.

It was the perfect fall day even though it was raining. Our wood stove is getting installed tomorrow so we still have 2 more bush cords of wood we need to get split and bring home!

We also have some very exciting news to share in the next few weeks , so make sure to stay tuned so you don't miss out!

They say your wood needs to be split and stacked to dry out properly, moisture of the wood needs to be 20 percent or less. Especially for the newer hi tech stoves.
