This is terrifying. My worst fear ever. Imagine being stuck in a cabin with your family, persons who you love and even animals and children as everything goes black and you can feel cold water raising. And all you can hear is the loud sound of metal and bangs and people scream, knowing there is nothing you can do to survive or save your loved ones... God. Rest in peace... My heart breaks for this disaster....

The most horrifying part of this sinking is that unlike titanic for example this ship sank in shallow waters, about 75 to 80 meters. Meaning the air pockets that might have remained in a few rooms would have had survivors in them as she hit the ocean floor. They may have been alive until the ship slammed into the ground which would have most likely forced the air out complete as the upper decks were crushed.

The Estonia was 157 metres long and sank in waters 74-85 metres deep, so the stern must have hit bottom long before the ship was mostly submerged (unless it went down at a shallow angle after rolling onto its side of course). Other than that, quality simulation.

God watching the moment it fully capsized caused me to involuntarily hold my breath a few seconds lol caught myself. I could not imagine the sheer terror and confusion it caused people to be flipped around like that.

I cannot stop researching and reading and watching every single thing I can find about this horrible tragedy. What a horrible waste of human lives and it's sickening that corrupt governments have been been hiding lies all these years.

Glad you got it right how far she actually rolled over. So much of the time I see her in diagrams or simulations being depicted as rolling 90 degrees or so and then going to the bottom, when there’s irrefutable proof in the form of photographs of the ship having rolled almost completely upsidedown

the fact that it all happened so quick is crazy, imagine, you are in a ride with your family and then boom, the ship is capsized and below water, crazy, but more sad than crazy... R.I.P

Probably the worst thing here is that it happened very quickly and the ferry capsized. These two factors are so sudden and disorienting that there is simply no chance of survival for people in lower rooms

The part of the ship that was still floating at 0:16 reminds me of another ship called MV Princess of the Stars by Sulpicio Lines. It also reminded me of the Sewol ferry that sunk near the Jeju island back in 2014.
