Our response to those who say their modern copy machine is faster than our printing presses

We here at the Sacramento History Museum not only enjoy discussing history, but we also have the opportunity to demonstrate historic equipment in our print shop exhibit.

The "Cool" was letterpress printed in 72 point Caslon font. The light green is a rubber base ink. This was printed using a 3×5 Kelsey Excelsior tabletop printing press.

The difference is: This antique will work without electricity and can print multiple copies faster.

Yeah the home printer is boring to look at. Looking at the printing press tools used in the 1800s is way more interesting to look at.

Gotta wonder if they believe that you and Howard are unaware that electronic printers exist lol. Also I'd say that the smaller printing press is still more efficient when it comes to mass-printing than most electronic printers you'd find at someone's home.
