I love it - there is always the 'platform' only the 'content' changes. Great analogy! xo

I tried to write a comment yesterday at 4am, gee it was so unintelligible that I fell asleep with the phone in my hand🤣. Now...I'm gonna start again. When Fred appears on my screen, I truly feels that you are me talking to myself

The biggest myth in nondual circle is that "all paths lead to the same destination". They don't. Different Nondual Schools disagree on the ultimate nature of reality. Their disagreement is real. My intuition is even the pure nondual experience is filtered and interpreted through the dualistic mind. At the end there is no such thing as purely objective experiece. Experience by definition is subjective.

Hi Fred. I'm currently about 45 minutes into your audio book and I can honestly say I've had more of those 'penny dropped' moments in that time than I have the last whole year reading and listening to anyone else. I can feel my ego panicking at times. I even had to turn it off at one point because my ego panicked as it felt like it was about to experience a shift that there was no return from. I know you're supoosed to power through these illusions but my history of mental health issues has forced me to take things slowly and at a more manageable pace and before I've even made the choice to snap out of it, I've already done it.

The only thing I'm weiry of so far is your talk of the void. I'm aware of this void but my (egoic) experience wasn't pleasant. It was just a scary, dark, lonely experience that I would later learn could be explained as solipsistic. I hear a lot of spiritual teaching talk about the self and 'light' but I'm yet to see or experience any light, aside from a fleeting vision which put me on this path in the first place. I've read in a short book by R Maharshi saying you can go beyond it (void) ?

'By turning Selfward, you destroy your delusion, this
world; what then remains as ‘this is void’ is known by
you, Self; so, to destroy this [apparent] void as well,
drown it in the ocean of Self-Knowledge.'

I don't want my ego stuck in that void again hahaah. Do you go through it or is that the permanent experience? I suppose once the egos gone anyway there's no issue with anything because it's not there making problems out of nothing, just because it doesn't understand it.

When you mentioned before about "turiya", that really connected with me. Yes, I can see what you're saying about the two common states, waking and dreaming. Yet the turiya is still the underlying background of both these states and any other states of consciousness. Turiya is not a state but rather the unchanging background from which all states emerge. Perhaps it's like the white static noise on a TV screen or something like that.

but we have a feeling about the statelessness state after we wake up, so consciousness doesn't drop away, it drops away for the person .

Isn't consciousness necessary to maintain bnodily functions such as heart beat and respiration?

Can you undo the conditioning with hypnosis? Can you tell me what technique/regimen/non duality teaching you were doing to become who you are now?

The status of a sleep is a state, just as a status of a wake is also a state. So that if you're awake, then you're not sleeping: and vice versa. However, "awareness" is aware whether one is sleeping or awake. ;-)

Hi Fred. Can you clarify if you are suggesting the sense of "I" that we share, not the ego I, but the sense of being would be perhaps a better word, is still not deep enough in this understanding? Do you suggest that we are what is before this sense of being as well?
