Polarizing Cubes for High Power Application

preview_player
Показать описание
Polarizing cubes are optical components which split laser beams into two orthogonal, linearly polarized components called S and P.
S-polarized component's polarization plane is perpendicular to plane of incidence and S- polarized light is reflected at 90 degrees angle. P component's polarization is parallel to plane of incidence and p-polarized light is transmitted through optical component. Each beamsplitter consists of two right-angle prisms, which are attached to each other and dielectric polarizing coating in between.
In many cases optically contacted polarizing beamsplitter cubes can replace Brewster polarizers due to higher polarization contrast - more then 30dB. In addition, cubes are easier to mount and handle.

Are all glass cubes, like the one in the video, reflecting in three directions

Hard to hear because although the girl is cute, her voice is very quiet and slightly blurred. The background music overtakes her voice with a beat which makes it hard to hear any accent of the voice, which I need for picking-out what words she might be saying.
