What a great video to stumble upon. One thought that's been weighing heavily on me lately is how much I am like a computer program. My thoughts, my feelings, my actions...they're so predictable, so automatic. I react to the world around me basically unconsciously. Sensory stimulus is the input, my thoughts, feelings and actions are the output. This is why all these algorithms today are so successful at getting us to buy and feel and think certain things. I wonder if it's possible to truly break free. If the universe really is a simulation, then perhaps that's the whole point of it. Maybe that's what enlightenment/awakening is: breaking free from the ultimate algorithm and finally becoming truly conscious.

How unburdened it is to discover "I" am not "my" past..."my story"... wow, this takes some recalibrating of how to mentally carry oneself....if some were to ask me about my childhood, I won't know what to say now...For 70 years my story was that of a sexually abused kid by my alcoholic father and an abusive drug addicted mother....NOT a very uplifting story...was it just a thought/illusion I can change? This is blowing my mind!
