Uncover the greenwash scams of the global oil industry

Offsetting scams are the new climate denial… and it has dangerous consequences.

French oil giant Total claims they’re committed to a clean energy future, but they are trying to drill for oil in a pristine forest in the Republic of Congo - home to many indigenous communities, as well as critically endangered species such as lowland gorillas.

To avoid an extreme climate emergency we need to halve global emissions in the next 10 years. We need fast emissions cuts. We need #realzero.

We need to stop climate pollution, as it happens, at its source. Not delays that cover-up polluting business as usual. At #COP26, governments must deliver REAL climate action to phase out fossil fuels and protect nature.

Good offsets are not greenwash. Carefully selected +REDD and Woodland Carbon Code. These are good things. Ploughing up rain forest is universally bad, but don't rule out all offsets. It is short sighted. Especially in near term.
