Very Early KONE Series 220 Traction Elevators - Neiman Marcus - San Francisco, CA

[Recorded 11-5-21] It's been three years since I filmed these elevators, so it was definitely time for a retake! Since my last visit, the walls in the elevator lobby have been redone. It used to be bright red but I like what they did with it. The elevators themselves haven't changed one bit. These are pretty cool because they're obviously some of the first elevators installed under the KONE brand. I said in the video that the phone cabinet door was replaced, but that is indeed the original door. They look, act, and sound like Montgomery/Montgomery KONE elevators, but these are pure KONE's. They even have the Monty vacuum fluorescent display!!! These run well and look nice. I'm almost positive these replaced older Montgomery elevators.

Neat! I actually like this combo. The vacuum fluorescent display has to be one of my favorite Montgomery bits (versus the Vector fixtures) and Series 220 is basically one of my favorite KONE fixtures. Nice elevators!
