Aldi Xmas Kevin the carrot gets excited about the John Lewis Xmas Ad

We teamed up with McCann UK for Aldi to produce a series of animations featuring Kevin the Carrot, a 3-inch tall root vegetable who is not short on adventurous spirit.

Our tongue-in-cheek 30-second short, narrated by Jim Broadbent, pokes fun at the launch of John Lewis’ Christmas advert, which traditionally kicks off the Christmas season. Not able to contain his excitement, Kevin hyperventilates into a paper bag to save from passing out. Our follow up casting sessions for the acclaimed role featured Gillian, the French ‘legume,’ the parsnip star of Kung Fu Carrot 3 (never mind he played the part of a potato), as well as a prestigious RADA trained carrot.

We were in charge of all animation direction for the digital campaign, which has had incredible success online and on social media.
