I’m now 12 in march 13 and I have green belt. In 2 weeks I have a karate tournement

(Third edit) Its been 9 months now, so I had an exam and now I am brown belt 🥹

my style is Genwakai, we earn belts with kyu's (levels). You start on 9th Kyu and you go from 9 to 8 and 8 to 7 or 7, 5 (7 pro). After kyu 1 you get dan: dan 1, dan 2, dan 5 and I think you can only get 6, 7 and 8 in Japan.
KYU 9 = WHITE
KYU 8 = BLUE/PURPLE
KYU 6 = GREEN
KYU 3 = BROWN
DAN 1 = BLACK
During the tournement I was 4th Kyu

for my martial arts (shukokai karate) we have white, white with yellow stripe if youre like REALLY young, yellow with white stripe, yellow, orange with white stripe, orange, green with white stripe, green, blue with white stripe, blue, purple with white stripe, purple, white with brown stripe, brown with white stripe, brown with 2 white stripes, full brown, brown with black stripe, brown with 2 black stripes, black and white / pre dan, then black

the white stripes up to blue and white stripe are for like under 18s (every age has to do purple and white stripe)
