he doesnt have one but just before release the left hand helps him push the ball further thus the long range and thus the way off shots sometimes. he was using this when he was still very skinny. thats how small people do it.. he developed over the years to rely on the right arm upon release.. but like i said the left hand is not just a guide but pushes it before release.. hope that helps..

He definitely has a thumb flick. That’s why a lot of times his hands will cross after the shot. I know this because I shot with a thumb flick in middle school. It works well for long shots when you don’t have the strength to shoot with one hand and get the shot off quickly. It also helps get backspin on the ball quickly.

Dude, i dont usually shoot with thumb but sometimes when i do fade or if the angle is a little odd, I'll instinctually do a thumb flick to get enough power or correct the angle to make the shot. And usually its automatic and theres no need to think about it. Thumb flick is ok if your usual shot aren't using it.

I actually shot before when I used to have a thumbflick before a coach got me to "fix it" now when I shoot around by myself I do whatever I want and shoot better. if it ain't broke don't fix it. there is no wrong way to shoot. if it goes in it works for you don't fix it
