BSC Aeris 4A Challenge: SSTO Testing Procedure! KSP v.23

This video lays out how I test and evaluate SSTO designs for this KSP forum challenge!

There are over 50 deisgns that have been submitted to the SSTO design challenge on the forums. it's pretty crazy and going through them all has been very time consuming! It's pretty fun to get a chance to fly so many different designs though. I figured a lot of them would be very similar, but it's hard to find any that use the same design principles. Pretty cool!

While this video is more geared towards judging designs for this challenge, it might also give good insight in to how I evaluate SSTO performance in general. A lot of the design criteria can be applied to any SSTO, so even if you aren't involved in the competition, you should be able to get some useful information out of watching this video!

Have you ever seen a string of 3 or more tanks in series that have working drainage sequence such that length mass is divided as evenly as possible.
That would be a reason to use smaller tanks instead of a large one as the advantage is in using the 2nd and 3rd dimensions to minimize balance issues.

On a side note:
 I also want to become an YouTube "KSP-er" but my processor is too cruddy to run KSP at even low graphics and a screen recorder at the same time :(

Very nice video! You are a very good kerbaler. Could you please make a clip on how to get into docking orbits with and without mechjeb? I found it quite difficult and have not achived it yet but you have made a brilliant vid on ssto.
