I tested both phones for a month. I'll go for Tecno.
1. There are more room for edit in tecno compared to samsung which is a bit warmer and saturated. And telephoto is a big plus. Portraits are very good.

2. For design, tecno for real. Leather is on flagships.

3. Gorilla glass 5 is already durable don't get me wrong. But if you're a clumsy person then choose samsung or even honor or huawei flgship

4. Display is more premium on tecno even it does not support hdr10+. The screen to body ratio is very good at that price range.

5. Software update? Come on guys. Most people change their phone if there is newer one.


But what I like about samsung is their OneUI. Very beautiful.

For a regular people, choose samsung.

For longevity reasons, I myself picked the Samsung A55. Service and support is mainly what convinced me to pick this over the others which may be cheap, but just doesn't offer the peace of mind knowing you can just bring your unit to a near Service Center in case an issue occurs.
Hardware has come a long way with all the options the market offers today, with that said, not many company offers a smooth software experience like Apple, Google, and Samsung. So yeah, it may be a tiny bit slower but most of us will pick the A55 based on these choices.

As much as I like that Samsung phones have more years of updates, a close friend of mine had an A52 5G that only lasted for 2 years because of a "motherboard issue." People commenting that Samsung has a "service center" advantage. The same service center told us that her A52 was a lost cause unless she paid for a motherboard replacement for more than half the price of how much she bought it. Might as well buy a new phone (which she did).

Samsung. Cleaner, sleeker and better overall build. I had 3 tecno's in the past, all camon premiers. Tested and held the 30, it feels tacky and flimsy compared to mu new a55 which almost feels like an iphone promax on my hand.

As a samsung a55 user myself. I can attest this beast is amazing in battery backup, smooth software experience and better durable build. This thing is build to last for easy 3-5 years category where as techno killed the switch with this one, the successor of the Premier is all new design and horrendous plastic framing. If they didn't adapt anything from the successor that's the major sign of not ringing any bells in consumers world.

Why do Samsung screens often experience issues?

Tecno promised 3 years of OS and security patches. Software updates that are several months apart, buggy, and half baked. Samsung software updates are consistent, reliable, and improves the user experience. It is the software that drives the hardware. The hardware competition is relatively Close here, the TC30P does not blow the A55 away even in both camera and chipset. Logic dictates and chooses the TC30P but the wise long term investment should be the A55.

Looks like TECHNO C30 beats a55. The video and picture and faster processor is important.

The A55 is half the price of the C30P, so it has way better value.
I'd buy the A55 as my primary phone and the C30P as my "fun" phone, where I can play around with stuff since it won't have long-term support
