When I was young my parents and teachers strictly told me 911 was only for emergencies, so I never got in a situation like that.

My sister made me dial 911 10 times when I was 3 or 4. They never actually showed up, but my mom had me really convinced that they were going to arrest me. So I sat outside and waited while crying my eyes out.

Something similar happened to me before. I was about 6 and my friend came over to my house for the first time. He was looking at my old home phone and he asked me “Should I call 911?” I said “Sure.” I thought he was just joking, but he actually called them and then ended the call right away. The police still came and then they told us the story of the boy who cried wolf.

Me: "I need therapy."
Mom: "I can give you therapy at home."

I called 911 yesterday because I smelled gas in the lobby of my friend's building when I dropped her off. She didn't want to call. I feel like it becomes so ingrained in us not to call 911 unless it's a real emergency, that sometimes it's hard to make the call even when it is warranted.

Bro I did this to my brother and I'm only a year older than him. I literally just said "Hey call 911" and he said "ok" and did it. When the cop showed up our dad asked who called 911 and he fessed up. He didn't mention me though so props. Pretty sure my dad still doesn't know it was me.

Me: trying to concentrate.

I remember I called 911 as a kid calling the cops to offer them some coffee, my parents grounded my ass for that.

It would've been cute of the officer if he actually had bought Milad some ice cream from a nearby shop.

Luckily, nothing similar to this has every happened to me during my childhood, because being an autistic girl, and with bad anxiety, the thought of even ringing someone and talking to someone made me want to run and hide

When my great uncle was little, he was in the bath one time and his mother was washing his hair, and he kept screaming, "Help! Murder! Police!" And a neighbor heard his screams and actually called the police on them. The police came to the door and my great grandmother explained the situation, and they went to see him in the bath (because they needed to verify no abuse was going on), and that scared him enough that he never did that again.

Military, what do you do if a customer runs off with sandwiches and doesn’t pay for them?
Hint: So there was this one time…..
