It's not up to him to say who deserves a shot at the title and who doesn't, the UFC and the fans decide, A real champ will gladly welcome the opportunity to prove that umar is not deserving, he's over there losing his mind because he's really stressed out over this fight, I think that Merab already lost mentally .

1. Umar is the number two guy that's 6 in his last 6.

2. Petr Yan is 2 in his last 5. And already lost to Merab.

3. O'Malley, Sandhagen, Figgy, Vera, Cejudo, and Yadong last fights were losses. Is Merab arguing that we should be giving title shots to people that either weren't champions or on losing streaks over Umar?

I don’t think umar was even trying to get in his head, he just got worked up, but after seeing merabs development, he’s genuinely a nice guy, and only recently he’s been creating a bit of beef with opponents, but I think this is just him selling the fights. Maybe he is a little emotional, but he isn’t that angry of a person. Remember Petr yan pushed him and before that he was pretty much being respectful. He’s learning to sell because honestly he’s been at the top of 135 for a long time, and he never got the exposure he’s gotten even before he got the belt.

I believe this is gonna be the hardest fight of Merab's entire Mma career and equally so for Umar there's a very high chance Merab looses to Umar but there's no way anyone just writes Merab off easy against anyone in the world no matter who they are he's been on an absolute tear in the division maybe he doesn't look so clean but that hardly matters because he does what matters the most which is to get the job done and win and that he does very well and he has been defeating elites after elites in a row his road to the gold has been the hardest compared to many for which he deserves utmost respect the man is a straight up hungry dog a relentless beast in the cage in his own and there's a good chance he pulls it off and gets it done against Umar i believe currently if there's anyone in the entire Bantamweight division who can beat Umar and has a slight chance against him it's Merab i mean he isn't just called
