Can it be caused by a chiropractor? I woke up with it one morning after an adjustment. My Dr.. and the ENT say no but this makes me think yes. I was already misaligned and I believe the work he was doing triggered it.

I have suffered with bilateral Meniere's (it's pronounced Menyaze as it's named after a French philospher!!) since 1995 due to the herpes simplex virus and genetic predisposition from my father. Until 2016, I knew nothing about "root causes" believing what the ENT doctors told me. I had surgeries, tubes, meds and nothing worked!! Then I discovered energy healing and a healer treated me remotely using NAET to clear my body of energy blockages from allergens and toxins that were involved with my symptoms. Pesticides, black mold, heavy metals, foods, viruses just to name a few! But because another energy healer discovered my neck and back misalignment were also involved, he gave me a few treatments over the phone (Robert Ginsburg) using the Levashov technique. After he died from stroke complications, I began seeing an upper cervical chiropractor close to my area but she only used the recoil "Blair" technique that helped some along with popping/cracking manipulation and spinal decompression. Well since she was a cash only practice, I had to quit going and continue care with general chiropractors in my area that accepted Medicare as I'm on disability due to Meniere's. But a car wreck Apr 6, 2021 gave me sideways whiplash giving me a setback caused my symptoms to flare up again. Then this past October I tripped and fell down in a dark parking lot after a bday party that caused forward whiplash when my hands and arms took the injuries to prevent my head from hitting the hard asphalt! Now my symptoms worsened causing my ears to be more sensitive to my menstrual cycle from the whiplashes! Now I will need to drive 100 miles one way to go see an upper cervical chiropractor who uses the Atlas Orthogonal gentle vibrational machine with a pencil shaped straw-like tip on my mastoid area where the C1 bone is located to gently give it a couple of pulses to begin correcting it back into proper alignment. After a few years of cleaning houses, my neck and back alignment got worse and I was ignorant not to get chiropractic treatment simultaneously! So I had to quit cleaning! I can only hope this upper cervical doc in North Texas will help relieve my Meniere's symptoms so I can enjoy life at a normal level again like I did before this disease struck me! Remember, the longer you suffer with an ailment, the longer it will take to notice any relief!!

Inaccurate information

The classic pathologic lesion of Meniere disease (MD) is termed endolymphatic hydrops, which can only be definitively diagnosed by postmortem histopathologic analysis of the temporal bone. However, while endolymphatic hydrops is present in all patients with MD, not all patients with endolymphatic hydrops are symptomatic. In some studies, the degree of hearing loss, but not other clinical features of MD (eg, vertigo, tinnitus), may correlate with the severity of endolymphatic hydrops [8]; thus, the exact mechanism responsible for all of the symptoms of MD is unknown.

Endolymphatic hydrops can cause distortion and distention of the membranous, endolymph-containing portions of the labyrinthine system (figure 1). Although most patients with endolymphatic hydrops have no identifiable additional otologic disease, multiple potential causes have been proposed (table 1). In affected patients, is unclear why excess fluid builds up in the endolymphatic spaces of the inner ear. Lack of a single etiologic cause may reflect underlying clinical and genetic heterogeneity in MD.

It is actually the first time to experience such disturbances in my ear that I was confuse and don’t know what to do. I did went to hospital and they found out that i was infected by Tinnitus causing me lots of discomfort.
