Autel Evo 2 First Flight & First Impressions

Here is my first flight and my first impressions of the Autel Evo 2. This video is a little delayed as I had some technical issues with the drone but Autel's great customer service took care of me quickly. A full review of both the 8K and 6K drones will be coming soon. I can say that my first impressions are quite good, so far I have really enjoyed flying this drone and the image quality is fantastic. For the most part, I will not be making use of the 8K footage as I edit all my videos on an iPad Pro and the 8K footage is not supported.

So the reason it didn't land on the pad is, you took it up and immediately start flying it. You are supposed to let it hover on the pad for about 10-20 seconds for it to take it hovering position into account before you fly it. Try it one more time and see what i mean. I have the Evo 1 and it lands on the pad precisely each time you let it hover for 10 second before flying it.

The clarity compared to the Mavic Air or other DJI drones for that matter always looks better on the Evo 2. Liked and Subscribed 👏

I'd like to see how it does using waypoints. My farm is criss crossed with a lot of tree lines. I need a drone I can set about 20 waypoints on and have it drop down to about 15 ft hight at some of the waypoints and feel confident it will return to me. I've lost about 6 DJI Sparks doing this. The waypoint missions will be unchanged, wind..same, battery power...99%, and it will make maybe 6-8 perfect missions but then on mission 9 or 10 it doesn't return. Since it is out of radio range, "find my drone" is no help. So, I am willing to spend more for a higher quality drone that will always come back when zero changes are made to the mission.  

Two more things, the orange is a big plus. It is would make it much easier to find if it did go into auto land out in the middle of no where or in some woods. Secondly, it is noticably larger than the DJI Air2 and so perhaps it would handle a wind gust better?

I'm a bit disappointed that you didn't dive into the photography part of this drone, different modes and so on.

Este drone es tremenda maquina de verdad no esperaba tanto de este drone supremamente sorprendido de este monstruo del evo 2 8k va por muy buen camino...Hay que seguir probando este drone.👍

Wouldn't you be better with the 6K PRO if you cant edit 8K, the camera performance of the PRO is just so much better than the 8K it's likely the 8K will be redundant in a few months anyway once the PRO gets established. Even at 4K the PRO seems to be much better and scaling down from 6 to 4K you loose very little resolution from what I've read.

I find it really uninventive they named the faster mode ‘ludicrous’. It reminds me when Toyota released their ‘iForce’ V8 back when everyone started naming things using the Apple nomenclature.

This drone can also opticaly recognize the ''H'' character on the heli platform to return to home .

Even though I know for views it is good to be released when everyone releases their videos. I value your opinion whenever your video about the tech you review comes out.
