I care about virtual reality because ASMR.

(Also the potential therapeutic, educational, gaming aspects) it's hard to deny how amazing VR is if you've ever tried it.

The price will have to drastically decrease before I consider VR.

I'm interested, but it lies just outside my budget.

Everyone talks about VR with games, but how about cinema? Imagine watching something like game of thrones through a 360 camera where turning your head you can see all the characters and scenery around you, go wherever you want within the scene or jump around from one room to the next. Obviously this would have to be a recreation through a game world like a high def Skyrim, but I think it would be amazing to do.

People dont care about VR.
1) Its just to expensive now
2) almost no decent games
3) If you never tried, you dont know if you will get motion sickness from it (some people just go puking mid game with VR).
4) You just also need a very powerfull gaming rig, to render the image.

Also, you cant really play RTS games on it :p

I could care less about VR but seeing two of my favorite VA makes this video worth watching

I can see the potential for great things with VR but I am not interested in gaming on VR. Having said that, the $699.99 Canadian price tag (plus 13% tax) on the PSVR bundle, is not very inviting.

I do not think VR will be a fad like 3D for instance. VR is brilliant, having tried it I can safely say a horror game in VR is terrifying. As long as the price is right and it works well, it's a welcome addition. Not everything will have to be VR, but it's a good option.

Really couldn't give a shit about it. You could buy a second console for the same price

Ever since completing Bioshock for the first time this week, I always think of Atlas when I hear Danny speak.

I think there are those who have always dreamed of being able to game in VR that are interested in it, or first adopters of it. Me, I always dreamed of games having graphics like the games of today, large open worlds to explore in, all those features I only dreamed of back in the '80's, but never really cared about VR then or now. I game long hours every day just can't see doing that with VR. Can see parents buy their kid the VR to take place of a big screen TV for their bedroom, if that virtual screen thing works well, and also to get them off of the living room TV. Could also see something like this even be put into hospitals, airplanes, or even nursing homes as a form of entertainment for those bed ridden or stuck to a seat for a 10 hour flight.

No. I have little interest in it until it gets cheaper and becomes supported universally in a competitive market that is consumer friendly.

Not really. It's like the 3D thing. Companies want a new revenue stream. The technology is still for too expensive and the experience still feels incompetent to me personally. I don't think it will take off. More for a niche market rather than mass adoption from the people.

Well there was at least one thing I care about in this video: Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham.

If you think VR is a gimmick, go search youtube for 'Unseen Diplomacy'. The video is by 'Triangular Pixels'.

Very interested in it, having tried Google Cardboard (which is a very good experience for the price), I can't wait to try the real thing. However the technology will only improve and get cheaper, I'll wait for the next iterations of the headsets.

VR will be just like cell phones and never catch on either. If I wanted to talk to someone far away I'd just shout.
