With obvious warnings in print and user reports of sheared shafts, I was properly cautious about tightening the top nut on my new Tokico HTS shocks. With torque wrench in hand (I'm a mechanical engineer, after all!), set suitably lower than the specified maximum allowable torque... the darn thing sheared anyways. Supremely irritating.

Wow - sorry about the late reply. Yes - after considerable delay due to across-border post, it was replaced under warranty. I think that the video was instrumental in showing that this was not a failure due to ham-handed incompetence. A proper garage, hydraulic lift, and most importantly a torque wrench, combined give a decent impression of skillful installation. Lucky I thought to take the video!!
