I love the content! Reminds me of your earlier videos when you posted videos of actual lessons. Thanks for taking the time to help us all get better! I'm a huge fan!

I love when Eric does these videos during busy hours at this range. The juxtaposition of his great fundamentals vs. the hackers behind him makes me chuckle.

When I saw Jim's swing face on I immediately saw a problem I just discovered a month ago. On my backswing I used almost all back turn to get the club (close) to parallel. His back like mine is turned more like 120°, rather than 90°. Eric nailed it pointing out Jim's lack of hinge and arm bend. After 15 years of lessons no one ever pointed that out to me.

Let me know what you all think of today's video!

This style of video is really fun for us and I think can be really effective for helping everyone so you can relate to what we are working on and will know if YOU need to work on it or not.

As always if you want to work with me and get a swing analysis and plan like this like what I did for Jim join me at www.cogornogolf.com so I can personally put a plan together for you!

Great video. 2 questions and 1 suggestion:

1. What’s a good way to drill the swaying issue at the range without a setup like yours?

2. For the folding and hinge, any good suggestions on how to get them right?

Suggestion - would love to see him try the drills you suggest to see how he improves in a few weeks.

Thanks!

Eric you have a video where you discuss the feels of your chest point up wards towards the sky in the backswing ... what video was that ?? Lol you have too many good ones but I liked that one.

Great video, Eric - Jim’s moves are similar to mine and my Pro’ has got me doing the “Spiral Staircase Drill” on backswing which has helped me massively to stay centred - Jim looks like he’s standing a bit too far away from ball at address and reaching a bit.
All the best,
Ken,

I couldn't help but notice a great way to keep your head centered. IT'S YOUR SHADOW. Simply adjust your aim/stance so that your head lines up with its shadow and make swings keeping them somewhat in line. You may not be able to aim actual shots in that direction, but you can certainly make enough practice swings to ingrain the feel.

Nice. I use a column in my home to practice this feel without a club

Eric, what did you use to hold the noodle? Also, have you ever used the Pro Head Swing Trainer? It is kind of expensive, but it looks like it would certainly help the head movement issue.

Fantastic advice, I always hit the ground first because my right arm straightens to quickly and I sway back.

Great video! Keep these type of videos coming when analyzing players swings. It wasn’t talked about but how do you shift weight right and load right glute while staying centered? Maybe that is what the 1 inch gap between noodle at setup is for.
