This is the most fertile commenting ground ever. Not only can romanians and slovaks argue with hungarians, but communists, nationalists and liberals can fight each other too. Lovely

Hungarian Soviet Republic was actually doomed from the start since Kun alienated many factions within the Hungarian society. I keep saying, it is a fascinating piece of history, this Hungarian Soviet Republic.

The only people who also see the irony in an admiral becoming the leader of a landlocked nation! Well done my friends! Keep up the great work!

I am absolutely loving these segment Jesse has been doing! This era of history was a major blindspot for me and I am fascinated by all of these events I knew very little about. Kudos to Jesse and the Great War channel for an amazing series!

France: Fall back to the demarcation line and we'll get Romania to do the same.
Hungary: Okay, we gave up occupied lands.
France: *HAHA, YOU FOOL! YOU FELL FOR ONE OF THE CLASSIC BLUNDERS!*

Great video, really accurate, on thing to mention though, the picture you use in order to portrait Ionel Bratianu is actually his brother’s picture, they come from a long line of great politicians from the 19th century until the last of them dying in communist prisons after world war. Ionel Bratianu died in 1927, same year with Ferdinand, he had a medical issue that needed attended but due to much responsibility and sacrifice in the political stuggules of Romanian back then he postponed it until it was too late for him. Great hero of our nation, never to be forgotten.

Florian gave me some reading recommendations on an essay I wrote on why the Hungarian revolutions failed, and I'm very happy to say I came to the same conclusions as you guys did. Great video as always

I sometimes wonder how Romania would have ended up if we never had a communist regime.

I love how you do your best to pronounce all these different names in different languages the way they are pronounced in their original language. Very well done video. I am Romanian and I knew about this war between the Soviet Hungary and Romania, but I didn't know details. Thank you for such an informative video.
