I appreciate you giving me this amazing feedback, I'm the submitter.
Your feedback was really helpful, and most of the feedback in the comments were also really helpful!
Overall, my main thing is improving, that's why I sent that game, I knew that I needed to improve just didn't know where!

Thanks again Emongg and YT and Twitch comments!

i have never related to anything more than being that kind of kiriko that teleports to save someone only to fall off the map with them...

This guy missed so many opportunities to beam people to death. Keeps on spamming primary fire in those situations, I don’t understand

If youre playing into a rein, think about what he does effectively. He holds corners well at melee range and can block damage in one direction. If you are flanking the shield, you are facing an exposed team. Make sure you don’t make their rein’s job easy

This guy picks a character that can fly and flank at super speed and decides to shoot rein from the front and blame his tank. 👌🏼

Edit: OP replied to this message stating he never blamed the tank and was generally positive throughout the match.

While spectating bronze is more entertaining, it's fun to see some "higher" level play analyzed. It would be interesting to see more like these

This is one of those moments where you have a teammate willing to cooperate with the composition only to be blamed at for not playing how they envisioned, recognizing your comps on how to play into their heroes strengths is what ultimitly lost him the game, sigma allowed alot of legroom for his teammates to succeed, recognized what was needed in order to win and played accordingly, asking more for the tank that essentially did his role is just asking too much.

I love Echo so much. As someone who always picks assassain/rogue type characters, Echo fits my playstyle so well. Her high skill ceiling makes her really fun to master!

This just seems like one of those matches where nobody was really at fault, and one team simply got outplayed by the other. That happens.

"when youre playing sigma ure playing sigma ure not playing Rein" i love how this needs to be said

This player is good at farming stats and playing well when unprovoked from the safety of distance/soft flanks, but they lack so much creativity in their play and risk management. They play very safe in terms of playstyle, nothing out of the ordinary, nothing unexpected. And when you don't play unexpected, you don't truly get to be a difference maker unless you just vastly outmechanic the enemy team (which this player doesn't. They're doing good, but not that good to the point where the brain can be put on autopilot and the aiming hand does all the work for them).

Take more widening angles, force the enemy to have to pick-and-choose between you and the rest of your team. Set up some cheeky flanks, and don't be afraid to stay on your own if you're in a good position+timing to do so. Many times on Soldier you are in a position to create a good crossfire setup for next team fight, but you choose the safe and expected route and run back to your team. Why? Nobody on the enemy team can reliably push you or force you into a disadvantage unless you yourself make a mistake. You can always run away and waste their time, so why play safe? You're playing into the enemy team's spam advantage, and you don't utilize your own levers.

Take 15:05 as an example. You chase the Pharah and get the elim (good) and pressure the Rein, and you're in a position to actually set up behind the enemy here for the next fight AND you even have your ult to push that advantage further if needed. But what ends up happening? You run back to the team because it's the "safe thing to do".

Here's the thing. If you want to play safe, you will not climb. You will not test the limits of what you can get away with, and you will not find anchor points for value that your hero selection uniquely offers you, if you play them all with the same safe predictable playstyle all the time. You play Soldier like you play Echo, and how someone would play Cassidy too. Lack of creativity and unwillingness to play like a smurf, is what's holding you back from reaching your actual potential as a player. Your mechanics can support more creative and daring playstyles, but you don't get any experience with this if you don't break out of that safe shell you're currently in.

Advice TLDR; If you want to improve and climb, start thinking and playing like a smurf in your rank would. Make the match hell for the enemy team. Never be predictable, and don't play it overly safe if there isn't a real reason to do so.

This is what people need to understand (not calling out this submitter btw):
Even if you ARE right about the tank or whatever doing something wrong, your focus on that is the issues. Work on changing the thought process to more like: "how do I work around the flaws of this player".
Also, there is a nice way to give criticism in-game. If they dont appreciate it, whatever 🤷‍♂️

I don’t even play Echo and even I knew they should have used the focus beam more often.

This match was really well balanced, all in all. The ending could have gone either way, with or without better flank/angle adjustments from our protagonist. Definitely feel like some big plays were made on both sides!

Nothing better than can only muster up the same rank as everyone else in their game, but always thinking they are better because they have more damage or have more elims. Just the other day had a guy talking about how he was carrying because he had the most damage and elims. He had 2 more elims and just over 500 more damage than our other dps... lol

when he last ulted during the first defence not once he looked up he kept looking and shooting a mei wall and rein shield even before he ulted u could hear the enemy mercy ulting so u know they do be flying around but instead of just even checking in the air cause they had a phara mercy the entire defence he just kept shooting the shield and wall with his ult and u just know he blamed the tank otherwise he didnt send the vod in

Despite some of the shortcomings, I wish the DPS on my team could be at least as good as this person.

I don't play Echo at all, but this guy never used Beam at the right time. There were so many opportunities to melt someone and he either ulted instead, or just didn't use it.
