d is measured from extreme compression fiber to the centroid of tension bar. In case the beam will be subjected to a clockwise bending or a sad beam, then the topmost will be subjected to tension. So, not all the time d is from the topmost of beam.

Hi Sir, tanong ko lang po. Paano po nakuha yung sa (RHO)maximum na 0.0247? ginamit ko po yung formula at substitute lang po pero yung sa calculator ko is 0.01791 ang dt/d po di ba ay (1)?

Sir 0.0179 ang lumabas na rho max sa computation ko hindi po 0.0247, paki check ng formula or computation. Thanks!
